Pilot

This is my first post on my very own website! A 'pilot' episode so to speak.

I decided to take the plunge and put my work out there for the world to see after monstrous and difficult 2024. This year presented family illness, the murder of a colleague, numerous personal struggles, and studying for my final emergency medicine examinations, all whilst dealing with the vicarious trauma that only working in healthcare, specifically critical care, bestows upon you.

Publishing my writing is a step towards embracing these experiences, forgiving my past, and moving forward through healing and self-enlightenment.

Writing is such a unique way to process events, emotions, fears and profound joy. Every poem is different, as is every human that partakes in poetry whether through creating or consuming it.

My deepest hope is that for those of you who partake, my words may resonate with you and lead you on a journey.
